Dear Parents:

The school year and May especially have passed so quickly. May was full of specific events and exciting learning activities. Our Mothers’ Day tea, stuffed animal day and the caterpillar/butterfly metamorphosis were great fun. Dinosaur week was a particular favorite of the children. Amazingly, most pre-kindergartens can identify several dinosaurs.

Before he or she begins kindergarten this Fall, I encourage you to work with your child on practicing writing their name and the letters of the alphabet as well as numbers 1-10. This simple exercise should help them with the transition to kindergarten.

I asked the children what was there favorite thing about pre-kindergarten. These are some of the answers they gave:

Running in the gym

Playing games

Dinosaurs

Playing with my friends

Playing with everybody

Trains

Watching the butterflies

Dancing with the music

Painting

Making art

I thank you for your support and kindness. Have a great and safe summer. I look forward to meeting, teaching and learning with a new group of pre-kindergartens and their families in August.

God Bless,

Linda Hill
